{literally}
never say never.
we thought we were done having babies.
i was looking forward to the next decade being diaper free.
but God has a funny way of interrupting what you think are your plans and places new desires in your heart.
i got that nagging feeling (the same one that told me that homeschooling was right for us for now) that i couldn't shake. i like to call it the Holy Spirit. but you think by now i would realize that my arms are too short to box with God so i fought it for a year and then finally gave in.
so here i sit, barefoot and pregnant...again.
but it's good and we are all excited to welcome baby #5. i am going to keep yal in suspense until the end of this post to tell you if a girl or boy is next in the line-up....
so that's my excuse number one for being a bad blogger....weeks seven through sixteen were sheer....let's just say i would rather have my toenails pulled out one by one. but i would seriously like to kiss the person who invented that little white anti-nausea pill. legal drugs can be a wonderful thing. i would name this child after him or her...
excuse number two...we are back in cali, baby! moving while wanting to empty the contents of my stomach every hour is not high on my list of things to do again. but it feels gew-ood to be home.
and excuse number three, of course, the second week we got home, we decided to do a little home remodel to get ready for the baby so my computer has been tucked away amid the boxes lining our hallway. for awhile, our house looked like a bad episode of "hoarders". ok, it still does...just don't go into the guest bedroom or my new studio/office to be...not pretty.
so those are my excuses and i am sticking to them.
as much as it is nice to be home, i will miss some of the folks whose paths we crossed.
and my beloved kettle bell class.
and the green smoothies you can only get in south bend, indiana (just a side note: smoothies should not have vegetables in them!)
and chick-fil-a {sob}
and sweet danae, who has patiently been waiting for me to get her senior shoot edited (thank you!!!).
her eyes are an incredibly stunning window to her beautiful soul...
it was a privilege to hang out with you. you are every bit as beautiful on the inside as you are on the out. congratulations on your upcoming graduation and i know He will use you mightily. 1 timothy 4:12, girlfriend!
and thanks for being so patient!
{oh, and it's a girl!}
